According to Nassau County Police detectives, the incident took place around 2:10 p.m., on Monday, Feb. 17, at the Famous Footwear store in Massapequa.
During the incident, the woman entered the store and allegedly concealed several items and left without paying for them, said the Nassau County Police.
Photos of the woman were captured on the store's security surveillance camera.
She is described as being a black female, 5-foot-7, 135 pounds with long black hair and brown eyes. She was last seen wearing a black puffy coat with a brown fur hood, purple leggings and tan boots.
